Philippe Mariotti

Who is Philippe Mariotti?

Philippe Mariotti studied at the Conservatoire National de Région de Marseille, and in 1988 won the gold medal awarded by the jury’s unanimous decision. He was also awarded a special commendation by the town of Marseilles.

He studied with David Russell and is a disciple of the great masters, Alexandre Lagoya and of Maurice Bourgues. He won first prize for guitar and chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He participates in the lyric festival of Aix Provence, plays for French and Belgian television, is a member of the Yehudi Menuhin foundation, plays with the Intercontemporain Orchestra of Pierre Swell as well as the Paris Orchestral ensemble and is a founding member of the Brussel’s Guitar Quartet. Philippe Mariotti is a member of the Society of Authors and Composers and a full professor at the Academy of the 19° district of PARIS.
